No, not that kind of B.Y.O.B – it’s a Bring Your Own Blog affair. Gack Ink is a new network for bloggers that allows you to bring your own blog. You must love to blog and be passionate about your blog topics, but you’ll be in good company.
Gack Ink is taking submissions for new blogs right now and will be open for submissions until Friday morning. If you are interested, go check it out and get your blog in!

This picture is a bit washed out from the flash, but I just want to know…
How do cats know the ice is thick enough to walk on? The pond is partially frozen over, but I kept thinking I would be rescuing a very cold and wet cat at any moment.

Do you ever wonder what you are getting out of blogging? Do you ever wonder if anyone even reads your blog? Well, coming up on her 1st bloggy birthday, Shannon Cherry of Mommy, Inc. was beginning to wonder if blogging was a good use of her time. Afterall, what was her real return on investment?

Let’s just say that last week flew by and I was caught off guard by Menu Plan Monday this morning. Thanks to my ongoing master list of things my family likes, it wasn’t too hard to pull a menu together this week.
- Monday – Chili in the slow cooker, egg noodles (for 2 picky girls) and salad
- Tuesday – Out (as always)
- Wednesday – Chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and green beans
- Thursday – Tacos, refried beans, and Spanish rice
- Friday – Pizza
Are you still making your plan for the week? Stop in at Laura’s (I’m an Organizing Junkie) for links to other menus for the week.

How was that for an odd title? Anyhow, it’s Friday and I hope everyone has some fun planned for the weekend. Take some time out and play with the kids, enjoy the company of your spouse, snag some good “me” time or do all three!
Looking for some ideas? Here are a few I have found for you this week:
Michelle at Scribbit has a great list of 13 (yes, 13) creative family activities. I am sure you can find at least one that will work for your family.
Feeling creative (and patient)? Make your own origami Yoda thanks to Ingo at Amanita Muscaria. May the force be with you!
The folks at M&M have come up with a fun, interactive, design your own M&M character activity. Thanks to Sandy at PurpleWren for that one.
Have a great weekend!
