I have Chicken Fajitas on my menu this week and Michelle asked for the recipe. My sister-in-law gave me the recipe and it is great for Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Tacos, Taco Salad, you name it. It is perfect as leftovers because it just gets better the next day.
Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Sprinkle a package of McCormick Taco seasoning over it. Add a small can of chicken broth and a cup of your favorite salsa. Put slow cooker on low setting and let it cook all day. At least 30 minutes before serving, shred the chicken and return to sauce and mix.

Bloggers are curious people, and some are even a bit nosy. That’s not all bad - afterall, we are just trying to get a big picture of who the person behind the words and code is. Last week Robyn from Practical Blogging and Vidcast on Gaming and Tech shared photos of her home office. It was a nice glimpse inside her world. It added even more of a human touch to her blog. In her post Robyn challenged others of us to share, too.
When I started working from home 10 years ago we had just moved to our current house. At first my office was in the bonus room above the garage. It was adequate, but I didn’t like it. It was cold. It was far from the center of the house and I felt isolated up there. We are not a formal family and at the time we just had an infant. We decided that the best place in the house to put my office was the formal dining room. I didn’t think it was big enough for a dining room anyway. It is in the center of the first floor. I can see the bus stop at the end of the driveway from its window. I see through the doorway right into the kitchen, down into the playroom and the living room is in earshot. With three kids ages 5-10, this is the best place for my office.

My primary work machine is my Dell desktop with the monster screen, but I get email and do some of my surfing/blogging on my Sony Vaio laptop. You can see the wireless network hubs on top - we have eight computers (yikes! that is a lot) in the house and they are all on the wireless network. My office has three, there are three in the kids play room, and there are two in my husband’s office (you know that one I didn’t want).

In this picture you can see the third computer - my iMac G5 which I use for print projects and some design work. Note the box of Christmas stuff still under the desk - I think I need to get that out of there.
Now it is your turn! Give us a glimpse into the person behind the blog. Show us your office.
Capture pictures and photo’s of your home, office and or family by using security camera equipment & cctv cameras that are installed into your computer. You can remotely monitor video of your security system from anywhere in the world via any laptop or computer using a regular web browser. See here for more remote access details.

Let me start by saying, I am not a movie person. I usually have a hard time just sitting and watching TV or movies. However, this evening my husband and I channel surfed to the Lifetime network and started watching the 2004 movie “Shall We Dance” with Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Sarandon.
The movie synopsis according to the Lifetime website is:
A married workaholic impulsively signs up for dance lessons after seeing the beautiful instructor through the window. Though disappointed that the beauty isn’t his teacher, he surprises himself by falling in love with dancing. Little does he know his new passion, which he keeps a secret, could be a balm for his troubled marriage. This feel-good flick with an all-star cast is sure to dance its way into your heart.
After a few moments, I closed my laptop and was completely sucked in to this movie. The dancing was beautiful and the chemistry between the characters was enough to make my heart pound.
The twists and turns in the movie were like the dances themselves - I wasn’t always sure where the movie was going but I was enjoying the dance.
Lifetime is airing the movie again at 9 pm (EST) on Sunday and Monday. If you need a good mental getaway that will leave you feeling good, check it out.

My just-turned-5 year old goes to preschool every afternoon from 1-4. Some of the funniest moments with this character happen in the car on the way to school. Based on her antics in the car today, I am guessing it must be Wacky Wednesday!
So we are pulling out of the neighborhood and listening to Little Richard’s version of Itsy Bitsy Spider on Radio Disney. I’m in a silly mood and start singing. I hear a voice from the back seat saying very firmly, “Mom, your hurting my ears. Stop singing.” I turn around to say something back to her and she is wearing SWIMMING GOGGLES. It is two degrees above freezing today and she is sitting there with this serious look on her face and blue swimming goggles. Of course, I start laughing and want to take a picture with my phone, but couldn’t get any cooperation.
Some days I just wonder… Anything funny overheard in your world today? Please share.
