Bring On Spring And Other Thoughts

more flowers Now I would be delusional to think that we have seen the last of winter, but let me just bask in some wishful thinking. After the deep freeze we have been in for the past few weeks, I am so happy to say that not only will the kids go back to school today (after being off almost a week), but the temperature is supposed to go up to a balmy 45 degrees today. And by Thursday, we could see 62! And it’s a good thing too, my furnace could use a break.

I am really looking forward to the end of the week. My Mom, two of best friends and IÂ are going to the Maymont Flower and Garden Show. It will be such a nice break to spend the whole day in the company of grownups and getting inspired for spring planting. Bring on the sun!Â I’ll take plenty of pictures to share.

Hope things are starting to thaw out where ever you are!

Menu Plan Monday - Feb. 19

I get off a little bit easy this week as I really only have to plan for three meals! Â The weather should be nicer this week and hopefully all the week’s activities will go as planned.

Monday - Homemade Vegetable soup, grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches
Tuesday - out
Wednesday - Chicken, broccoli & carrots - stir fry with rice
Thursday - Soft tacos, refried beans and rice
Friday - No cooking as we will be at my husband’s promotion party.

And I just can’t think all the way to the weekend right now - it could have something to do with three giggly girls in the next room playing Twister and listening to music.
