The Do Follow Movement is Growing

I followThere have been some great posts and discussions on the “do follow” movement recently. And Randa Clay has designed some really nice badges that you can add to your blog to let the world know that you “follow” so leaving comments is beneficial to all!

For details on the No More No Follow trend and why it is beneficial, check out any of the following posts:

David Airey on No Follow

Dawud Miracle on No Follow

Gayla McCord on No Follow

Me over at Essential Keystrokes on No Follow

And don’t forget to stop in at Randa’s and pick up your I Follow badge - they come in lots of cool colors!

I’ll Miss The Tea Parties

Tea parties

When my lovely Miss N goes to kindergarten in the fall, I am really going to miss her elaborate tea parties! She’s such an attentive hostess.

More Wordless Wednesdays can be found at 5 Minutes for Mom or at the official Wordless Wednesday hub.

Who Wants To Be Number 100?

Casual KeystrokesCasual Keystrokes is 7 months old and it is coming up on another fun milestone - as of today I have 99 blogs linking to this blog. Who wants to be number 100? Anyone?

Let me sweeten the deal. Anyone who links to Casual Keystrokes between now and Sunday, April 15 will get mentioned here on Monday and I will review your blog and give you 2-3 ideas for taking your blog to the next level.

And, just in case you are wondering, I am not a selfish blogger. I have removed the “no-follow” tags on both this blog and Essential Keystrokes. This means if you leave me a comment, you get an inbound link from me. That is more Google juice for you - and we know that is the best kind!

Don’t be shy, share your comments, insights, opinions and thoughts with my readers and me! It’s a good thing.

Monday Motivation

Monday MotivationIt is Spring Break week for my kids and I am just not sure what the week will hold, so I am not doing a Menu Plan Monday post this week. Actually, if things go well, I may not have to cook much anyway.

Instead, I am going to take Wendy Piersall’s Monday Motivation challenge. I have a handful of tasks I want to clear off my plate so that I can take a day or two with the kids, guilt-free, and go play.

  • Finish client e-newsletter set up Sent to client for review
  • Finish dropping in content on another new web site project so client can review
  • Finish monthly invoices
  • Clean off my desk

If I don’t get this done I am going to have three very grouchy children and one big guilt trip on my head! Yikes! I had better get going. I’ll be back to mark things off as I complete them.

UPDATE: I did not complete my list. Silly me, thinking I could accomplish all that with three kids home on spring break! Ha! My attitude for the rest of the week is just to get as much done as I can, but not make everyone miserable!

Happy Easter and Other Weekend Wishes

EasterI know it is Friday and my kids need a break when not one of us gets out of bed even close to on time. I think we would have all been content to sleep the day away today. The good news for the kids is that next week is Spring Break. No getting up eary. No homework. No structure. We are all ready for it.

We are going to my Mom’s on Sunday to celebrate Easter. They have a large farm and it is the perfect place for my kids and their cousins to usher in Spring, look for Easter eggs, and spend quality time together.

We always have an egg hunt and my brothers do the egg hiding. Each of the kids has to find their own eggs - ones specifically marked for them - for example, my son may have to find only eggs with a green dot on them. My brother’s kids have celiac and can not have certain candy so this helps us make sure that they only eat what they can eat. It also let’s the guys know if they can hide certain eggs high, low, hard or easy.

Unfortunately I think it is going to cold this Easter, so the sandals, flip flops, and springy outfits might just have to wait for another day.

If you are a mega-procrastinating Mom like me and need some last minute Easter ideas, let me share:

So, here is to a great weekend for everyone. I hope you get a chance to spend quality time with the ones you love and that the kids find lots of good stuff in their baskets.

Happy Easter!
