It is inevitable - before the week is over I will have to put gas in my vehicle and the way prices are going, it is not going to be fun. Wendy at eMoms at Home reminded me today that while it is going to be painful putting gas in my SUV this week, I am fortunate to work from home and save money.
She also reminded me of a picture I got via email and almost forgot about:

It pretty much sums it up! So, how much is gas in your area right now? Ours is between $2.94 and $2.99 but I think we are on the low side (I can’t believe I just said that).
Wendy also shared a tool to help you find the cheapest gas in your area. I also found a few sites that do the same thing:
What other gas saving tips do you have? Me, I’m just not doing any driving I don’t have to do and I am combining optional errands with the mandatory ones.

This is the rabbit hutch my husband built for our rabbit. We call it the rabbit mansion.

Most of you know that this blog is only one of the blogs I write at. Every now and then I have posts at my other blogs that I think you might enjoy and I just have to share them with you.
At Essential Keystrokes I have posted “How do you explain blogging to your Mom?“Â By explaining what I do using an analogy to something my Mom does, the farmer’s market, she now “get’s it”. Do you have a unique way of explaining blogging to others? If so, Liz Strauss at Successful Blog has decided to make a Group Writing Project out of this topic. Be sure to join in.
With summer looming at our door, I have decided to start a different Group Writing Project at Weary Parent. I’d like to compile a great, big list of recommended reading material for kids ages 8-18. My kids love books and pretty much devour them. How about yours? What are the favorites in your house? Leave me a comment or write your own post and I’ll pull them all together at the end of the week.
Speaking of the end of the week, there is something coming at Printables4Kids.com and FreeStuff4Kids.net that you will not want to miss if you have kids. You’ll have to be subscribed to both feeds - we’ll fill you in more as the week goes along.
May 28, 2007· Filed under Menu Plan Mondays

I didn’t post a Menu Plan last Monday because I knew my husband was going to be out of town and I didn’t really feel like putting much effort into meals at all. Let’s just say I regret that decision now. I really have gotten to the point now, where I need to menu plan and things just don’t run smoothly when I don’t. I won’t share with you what we actually did eat for dinner last week - you’d probably disown me.
So, here’s to a better week.
- Monday - Pulled pork barbecue sandwiches (the pork roast is going in the slow cooker in just a few minutes), coleslaw and pasta salad
- Tuesday - Having friends over - order pizza
- Wednesday - Chicken quesadillas, salad
- Thursday - Mini meatloaves, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies
- Friday - Flat iron steaks on the grill, baked potatoes, corn on the cob
I feel much better already! Here is to a more organized week. Head on over to I’m an Organizing Junkie to find more menu ideas for the week.
