I am sitting here in my house all alone, much like September 11, 2001. I had just dropped my daughter off at preschool and on my way home I heard the news of the first airplane. I remember being glued to the TV, sobbing, angry, and worried. I remember things feeling so surreal. Phone lines were jammed and my husband was out of town. My heart broke as the rest of the day’s event started to unfold.
Last summer we took a trip to New York City. We wanted to show the kids the sights, but also have the opportunity to see Ground Zero for ourselves. The picture above is one we took at Ground Zero. Until you see it for yourself, the enormity of it just is too hard to explain.
Today (and every day), the victims, families and heroes of the 9/11 tragedy are in our thoughts and prayers.

I would like to thank everyone who entered my first giveaway at Casual Keystrokes. There were 51 entries (that included 11 bonus entries for posts). And the winner is:
Jill of Our Family Journal
Jill looks like another busy Mom with 4 kids and lots of activities - so I am sure she will get good use from the MomAgenda planner and Kitchen Folio.
I will start another giveaway tomorrow - but I’m not telling what it is yet, you’ll have to stop back in and find out!

I spent my morning with a stack of construction paper and a pair of scissors while helping out the Kindergarten resource teacher at the kids’ school. As much as I enjoyed getting a chance to see the Kindergarten students and teachers in action (my hat’s off to you ladies - you are amazing), it kind of screwed up the way my day went.
So, here are some quick links for you:
