This Staples commercial from a few years back is THE. BEST. EVER! With school starting in just over a week for my kids, I just can’t get the tune out of my head - and that is a good thing. Thanks to Sparkplugging for reminding me of this gem.

I was watching the Today Show this morning as they gave us a sneak peek of the outfits the US athletes will be wearing for the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics this evening. Whoa! It is definitely upscale casual, with a true All American feel to it. It feels like a flashback to the 40s and the 80s at the same time! Crisp white pants, navy blue blazer, cravats, and white hats that make you want to get in your convertible and drive the windy roads in California’s wine country or Virginia’s horse farm, polo country!

The number eight is lucky in China - so the fact that the Beijing Olympics are kicking off today - 8-8-08 is no coincidence! I have the Tivo set to record as much of the games as I can - don’t want to miss a moment - and I have made a list of the best places to catch all the Olympic action online, too.
