Casual Friday - Caption The Cat

Thank goodness it is Friday! I am so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning. This 6am wake up is for the birds.

In the meantime, we all have to finish out this week, so why don’t we have some fun. LOLCATS are everywhere and I just found a picture of one of our cats that needs a caption. I have one in mind but I am going to let you all take a shot at it first. So, leave a comment, give it a caption, and let us know how your week has been.

caption my cat

Thanks to BusyMom,  Randa, DevDad, Eliza, Yvonne, Neena, Gayla, Brooke, Laura, Lara, InspirationBit, BrownBaron, AgentSully, SuperMom, Shannon and WG for joining the fun last week.

PS - Don’t forget to enter giveaway #2 for the month - a gift certificate for Emily Rose.

I’m not sure about a caption, but I don’t think she’s going to move. Perhaps she’s saying something like, “just try and move me, I dare you.”

“What me work? I think not.”

Any movies this week? I’m watching OC season 4, House season 3, Abe & Bruno and The Tomb.

You Woke Me Up for WHAT…?

This looks like a cat wanting a good explanation as to why he/she has been woken from a nap.

  Denise wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:39 am

“Nooo!!! You are killing this plant, watering it too much. I won’t stand for it anymore!”

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:39 am

Laura and HomeMom3 - those are good. What is it about cats and their body language?

No movies here. We haven’t been home enough to watch anything.

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:41 am

Yvonne - it takes a lot to wake up Jake the cat - he is deaf. Really deaf.

Denise - funny…

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:44 am

I am not so sure about a caption but I love cats they get in the oddest places.

Sorry I’m late had a hectic day yesterday and today. So I quit my fulltime job and run pajama mommy from home completely and have been relying soley on the adsales on pjmommy

I am going to be starting a topsites list are any of you guys interested in joining?

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:46 am

Amanda - congrats on making the switch - I’m sure you will love it. Give us more info on the topsites list.

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 9:48 am

Topsites is basically a really fun way to find out whose popular in the sense of who votes for them and to get new traffic to your website. I have been wanting to do one of them just never got around to it. Now the program is installed and we’re just working on customizing it.

You just have people vote for you and you get to the top of the list. ITs an on going thing and basically its how long can you hold the #1 spot. but it offers FREE publicity to all that join. And you wouldn’t believe how well these things go over anyways. It should be premiering very soon. So if you want to join it email me at contact at pjmommy dot com and let me know and i’ll keep you on the waiting list for the first people who get on it.

You guys are the only ones who know so far i figured i’d give all ya’ll dibs first

  Lucy wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 10:05 am

Hi Amanda - I’ve just bookmarked one of your guest posts to study later (via the work from home carnival) - that is you, right? How funny to meet you here too, so soon after …

That is one grumpy cat. Oh boy, are you in trouble now …

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 10:29 am

Most likely it is me. I do a lot of posts on how to work from home. Is it the one where I made like $1500 in a month probably?

This month I pretty much tirpled that with approximately: $3561.06

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 10:35 am

Does anyone here use TLA?? Have you ever sold more ads than they say you can. I woke up this morning and sold 11 out of 10 ads and they are all on my site. I found it kind of odd. I am not emailing them since HECK I WANT THE MONEY! hahahaha but still i found it so odd?

Angela Stevens wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 10:45 am

How about this:

WTF!!?

I know, don’t scold me. That’s probably not too family friendly. In any case, I thought it would be a cute bubble for the pic. After all, the cat looks as if he has been disturbed from his sleep once again!

Ok, I just took the cutest pic of my girls. I will upload it so you guys can take a peek. Kinsley LOVES sunglasses. So much so that she can’t get enough of them. You’ll see what I mean when you check out the pic. ;)

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:03 am

Amanda - I have not sold my TLA out yet so I don’t know how they’ll deal with that.

Angela - That sounds like something Jake would say. Is the sunglasses pic up yet?

My caption:

“They promised me a bed of roses, but all I got was a bucket of weeds”

Not really LOLCAT style - I’ll have to come up with another one.

  Laura wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:05 am

Amanda, I may be slow–but I still don’t understand what a toplist is.

Angela, I’m off to your blog to see your pics.

Angela Stevens wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:06 am

Yep, the sunglasses photo is up! You guys are gonna laugh. ;)

  Charity wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:31 am

The first thing I thought when I saw this pic - “Dude, back off. Can’t you see I’m trying to nap here?”

  Charity wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:35 am

p.s. I have a planter exactly like that - my gramps made it for me. Seriously, this is getting weird. ;)

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:36 am

I invited 2 people to casual friday char! they are sweet friends of mine! Their names are Rachel and Alma, they are new to blogging but alma is like the queen. She some how manages to get 20,000 visitors a day hahaha. I know I host her website.

Her alexa isn’t great but its a lot of non alexa users are popping through i guess.

Anyways I hope you guys like them :D

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:36 am

Angela - the sungalsses pic is too cute.

Charity - you are scaring me ;-)

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:37 am

Amanda - thanks - I can’t wait to meet them.

  Rachel wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 11:53 am

Stay At Home Dad, Geek Style wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:20 pm

I’m going to leave the captioning to the pros! I got here late enough to see that nothing I could come up with would make the “short list”. Anyway, my week has been writing, writing, writing, as well as relocating my free website help thing to my new site. Let’s see if I can get these things to pick up steam!

Char, what about your week? Cats are cute and all, but we need our weekly dose of details!

Mike

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:25 pm

Very cute rachel

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:29 pm

Welcome Rachel and Kathy! Love your captions!

Mike - details - let’s see. I took on 2 new design jobs this week, bucket loads of maintenance work, haven’t had enough time to write or tweak my blogs enough (that’s what the weekend may be for). Is that enough detail?

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:32 pm

Shar you’re telling me? I run seo jobs on like 7 sites for just 1 person, then a run an entire blog for a new corporation. PLus I have to do the maintaince work for Pajama Mommy. It is a lot of work and its never all done.

Thank god for an assistant or i’d shoot myself.

Stay At Home Dad, Geek Style wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:32 pm

Char,

I think so. Your week sounds like mine, except my new gigs are all short-term writing projects that are huge enough that they *should have* been spread over months. ;) Did you get a chance to check out BlogHelper?

Mike

  Lucy wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:49 pm

Mike - what is BlogHelper?

Stay At Home Dad, Geek Style wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 12:55 pm

Lucy, if you’ve seen my DevDad site, you probably know that I do some free website help for readers. Anyway, I launched a new site that people can submit questions they have via e-mail or AIM, and I will respond within 24 hours. Extra interesting questions get posted, with a link to your blog, each day. You can check it out at http://bloghelper.org.

Thanks!
Mike

  Lucy wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 1:09 pm

Thanks Mike - nice! And bookmarked …

  Char wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 1:09 pm

Mike - that looks great! I’m sure it will take off quickly.

Amanda - I haven’t ventured into getting an assistant yet - I am so bad at delegating, but it is something I should look at doing. I take that back - I outsourced the house cleaning (yeah) and have outsourced some of my overflow, just not consistently.

  Amanda wrote @ September 14th, 2007 at 1:12 pm

I am in the process of helping my assistant start her virtual assistant company because I’ve had others and they were horrible and because she is a long time friend of mine and very good at what she does I am helping her more than others. And the same for her about me. I have established her clientelle list including me she has 4 people she works with and I have yet to hear one complaint as I have referred her all her business.

She is really good if you ever need anything she does a lot of things including the annoying blog carnivals. She puts Pajama mommy in about 30 a week!

I’m really looking forward to the weekend. I hope I can get some serious sleep time. Hope everyone has a refreshing weekend!
