Welcome to another Casual Friday! As many of you know, our animals – the ones we claim to own and the ones who just invite themselves over, can be quite the source of entertainment around here – especially since we live on the fringe of suburbia.
Last Friday I pulled back into the driveway in front of the detached garage and saw this:

Excuse me! That is not a cat sitting in the window – its a racoon. My husband was on his way home from a business trip and when he got home he attempted to free the racoon (so we could humanely trap it and release it far away from here).

But the racoon wanted to use the wires in the rafters for tight ropes and circus tricks instead.

We had to come up with this contraption to get it down from the rafters. What an adventure!
So today’s Casual Friday task is simple. Caption any one or all three of these photos – LOLCats style or your own style. Creative juices not going yet? Share a funny pet or animal story? Or, just stop in and say hi. We’re all friendly and everyone really is welcome.
Thanks to Neena, Doll Clothes Girl Lisa, Laura, Laura S, Laura W, DevDad Mike, Yvonne, Wendy, Lucy, Brown Baron, Gayla, HomeMom Eliza, and V-grrrl for stopping in last week.
You won’t want to miss next week’s fun – we’re adding something new – so subscribe today and you won’t miss a thing.

Any new movies? I liked Hoax and Transformers, hey I had to wait for them to come on DVD, the rest of the family saw it in the theaters. I’ve already linked ya btw.

Pickel – we did the caption thing a few weeks ago when Jake the cat was lounging in the flower pot.
Randa – that was too easy for you – we know about your LOLCAT habit

Will the pizza guy never get here?
This garage could use a nice skylight.
Where’s the elevator?

Oh man, that photo just makes me cringe. I’d be so afraid of it biting me. I took my brother back to his apartment a few weeks ago and we watched a family of opossums come out of the apartment dumpter. Eeew!
A caption, huh?
How about:
Is this where you audition for America’s Funniest Home Videos?
(Not very good, but the best I can do at the moment.)

I finally get to come to another Casual Friday! I don’t have a clever title. The best I could come up with was “Hybernating? That is so 90′s.”

P.S. Don’t forget to go Purple for November. There is a great widget on my site that someone made for Adoption Month!

I saw transformers in the theatre as well we were keeping the HD drive since transformers is only available in hd.. (but bluray is SO MUCH BETTER) except there is a huge wait for it at the blockbuster.com so we just returned it and said forget it. haha
i loved the movie though.
heehee – I can’t believe he was IN your house!
Char wrote @ October 19th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
My husband just picked up the Transformers DVD – I guess I know what he and my son are watching tonight.
The raccoon was in our garage, which luckily is not attached to the house. He must have snuck in when the kids were riding scooters last week.
Cute pics. I just can’t seem to get the party scene from Barnyard out of my head. This little guy looks like he drew the short straw and has to stand lookout.
Are you absolutely sure what was goin on inside that garage just before you walked in?
Pic #2: “Whaddaya mean I’m not a Koala?”
Pic #3: “Are you sure this thing is a thermometer?”
ROFLMAO = Randa’s caption – She wins hands down~!~!~!
Oh my gosh, Char, I can’t even get a caption out – I am scared speechless! I don’t think I would have even had the wherewithal to snap a picture! I probably would have been running down the street.

Gayla – interesting theory!
Brown Baron – love it.
Wendy – Randa’s was great – I think we found her newest talent – LOLCAT captioner.
Jane – We don’t get too rattled about these things anymore – they are just too commonplace and comical.
homemom3 wrote @ October 19th, 2007 at 6:46 pm
I just rented a new movie for this week, “28 weeks Later.” Anyone seen it? Let me know how good/bad it is please, watching it tonight.
Gayla- thanks for posting the pic, Bella is very excited about that one. Funny, her face isn’t even showing.
Char- you’ve heard about my “break-in under the floor” right?
Exene wrote @ October 19th, 2007 at 9:15 pm
I’ve actually never seen a raccoon before. They look kinda cute if they aren’t screaming at you. I haven’t really hit the lolcats stage so I don’t really know how to caption them.
