I have a 13 year old 8th grade girl. I plan to survive this fall.
I am sitting here among boxes and stuff spread everywhere- we just moved. Just got the computer set up last night, and now I finally feel like it’s “home”. Home is where your computer is right?
I’m sure my 2 year old will help me unpack, LOL.
Hope y’all are having a nice Friday so far!
For me, this fall is going to be ugly! I’m really working on promotion for my copywriting and optimization work, as I’m doing everything I can to shy away from design. I love maintenance work, but the initial design process just doesn’t light my fire.
What is upcoming for me this fall? Well, the iMac contest just started, I’m taking Sarah and Alex up to NC for my grandfather’s 75th (first trip alone as a family), and I’m hoping to have my design work (save for maintenance) totally outsourced by October 1st. It’s going to be an interesting ride!

I’m currently doing a no soda week, if I can do it for one week I may try quitting it completely. I mean what’s the point of making it to Monday if I’m just going to drink one.
The Fall is my favorite season, I want to send my stories back out, prepare for Halloween and enjoy it all. Oh don’t ya just love when the leaves change colors and the wind talks to ya?
Yes I did sign up for your giveaway and posted my giveaway list for Yesterday today. Oops.
Another thing….anyone watch Georgia Rule yet? I’m waiting for an available disk but none yet at the rentals.
I did watch the entire first season of Ugly Betty yesterday though and must say I am hooked. While it has lots of “Prada” moments the people in it are funny and you can’t wait to see what happens next. Movies I rented last night since Georgia Rule wasn’t there….
Delta Face (hubby) and OC Season 3 (me).
The current project is in between freelancing projects and other work, I’m reorganizing my office for a fresh new start. I even found a desk under all the clutter.

Good morning everyone! I am trying to get my act together because I have to go to meet with a potential client this morning and another one this afternoon. The hardest part is deciding what to wear.
Busy Mom – thanks for reminding me that I have the teen years to look forward to!
Randa – have fun unpacking – not my favorite task at all.
Mike – sounds like you have a busy few months ahead of you! Keep us posted.
HomeMom3 – I haven’t seen any of those shows. Once fall hits, I rarely watch TV – we are just too busy in the evenings.
Yvonne – Three cheers for you! I really need to declutter my entire office this weekend. Thanks for the great idea.

This fall I am focusing on my business. I need to make some significant strides or move in a different direction. Getting organized is key – and also a good family/work balance. I know, these are lofty goals, but it is always good to aim high.
Can you even believe it’s almost Fall yet? As much as I’m glad the kids are back in school, I feel like I’m aging far too quickly UGH — I want some of what Demi Moore is having. Have you seen her lately? The Wench! Hate Her!
Anyway, I’ve got lots of projects lined up. Big one was taken off the list yesterday. We got new carpet in the basement and got it all arranged and put back together nicely. Garage is cleaned and ready for Winter. Now I can focus on my online stuff and learning something new — Tole Painting. It’s a form of Folk Art in case anyone is wondering.
Good luck on the clients Char!
Congrats on the move Randa.
Homemom – Georgia Rule is highly recommended by my mom. Haven’t seen it yet. And my brother is recommending Kicking It Old School – he said it’s hysterical!
Busy Mom – Since you already have one, I’d be happy to send my four to visit!

Good to be back here. Things have been crazy this last week. And now I have another sick kid at home. 3 sicknesses, 2 kids, 1 month. Sheesh.
We are starting to finish our basement this fall and winter. I am very excited! Just the fact that it is autumn makes me smile bigger! I looooooove autumn just like hommom3.
I will be in and out all day! Thanks for the 2 minute break – I loved reading all of the posts so far!

We’re going to move towards the end of next month. I’m getting ready for that. After the move I plan to increase my workload.
My kids keep me hopping. The youngest has already started off-season basketball practice.
This Fall is going to be insane for me!
I’m back at work after being home on maternity leave for over a year, I just launched a new business with a friend Apples’n'Oranges, I’m the chair of a chapter of a professional association and I still need to find time for priority #1 – my family. And to read blogs, because that’s something that recharges my batteries
well.. in my case, I’m not really getting that much extra time. My daughter is turning 30 months old only and started her pre-school, only 3 times a week, for 3 hours a day. I’m still at work during that time.
But it is a going to be a busy fall for me: working, teaching, freelancing and blogging. That’s why I started Time Management group writing project – I need all the tips I can get for managing the time better.
I finally finished my redesign and now I can focus on whatever it was that I forgot to write down again heh. My 3 kids seem to have more energy than usual which means that they’re wrestling me more often ouch.
Have a great weekend all!
Gearing up to improve my blog, promote it more, and figure out how to maximize the advertisements so that they are relevant to readers and pleasant looking at the same time.

InspirationBit, I think the time management project looks really interesting. I’ve been thinking a lot about what to write.
Thanks, Laura. I look forward to your participation in it and the tips

I also got Bridge to Terabithia for BabyGirl as she loved it so much.
Ya’ll are lucky, I want to redesign something.

Neena – goals are good – they are what keep us moving forward.
Gayla – once you start your painting class I sure hope you are planning on showing us some of your beautiful work!
Brooke – I hope everyone is feeling better soon!
Laura – are you moving far away? Good luck with it.
Lara – your Apples and Oranges site it too cute! Too bad my kids are past those sizes otherwise I’d be shopping.
Inspirationbit – sounds like you have your hands full! Wow. I will be entering your project – when I get a bit of time…
Brown Baron – the redesign looks great! Lots of good content too.
Agent Sully – I can relate – I have a redesign illness – I have a few sites I want to redesign – I just haven’t done it yet.

SuperMom – I am right there with you – all three of mine are finally in school and I have decided that this is the year to take back my fitness! You can do it!!
my gosh, so that’s how it is, moms – I need to wait for another 4 years until my daughter is in school full time be4 I can get some Me-time for getting back in shape… Huh, but at least now I have something to look forward to, and won’t be feeling too guilty for having no time for those fitness classes.

I stopped drinking soda this past Monday, I’ve almost made it a week without one. Woo hoo me!

Well, my girls are only 19 months, so getting them ready for school isn’t on my agenda. However, for my business, I’ve been busy with organization: creating back end manuals for my VAs and independent contractors, developing actual systems (which were mostly in my head) in wikis andproject planning software. And creating new products.

Late coming to play, but I have four kids, one with special needs, and all four are in school. Two come home at noon, but it’s still a sweet chunk of time. And I’ve gotten so organized with lunch charts, weekly menus, morning routines, etc., it’s a little sick.
As for fitness, I have been walking four miles/night with a friend for over a year now (the friend is a crucial ingredient, otherwise it’s much too easy to skip nights. Recently I added some strength training, and I’ve been tracking food and activity at FitDay.com. It’s a lot of fun to see how I’m getting stronger — it’s wild when I realize that the weights that used to be too heavy are actually now too light.
