Fridays at Casual Keystrokes are all about taking a well deserved break at the end of the week to chat with friends, laugh a bit, and have fun. I have wanted to come up with a way to make it even more fun for everyone and during a recent brainstorming session the idea of incorporating giveaways with Casual Friday came up (thanks Gayla). Some great sponsors have offerered to provide me with giveaways, so you now have another reason to stop in on Fridays! (If you want to sponsor an upcoming Friday, just let me know)
Things have been pretty pink at Casual Keystrokes lately - from turning the site pink to the Designher Gals giveaway and the Gal to Gal Walk. With October on its way out, it is appropriate that start the Casual Friday Giveaways with one that honors the cause behind the pink - Breast Cancer Awareness and Research.

This is such a cool deal that I am going to blog about it this morning and hopefully send some traffic your way.
Tomorrow night I am going to a costume party. The prize for the best costume is $50. I think I might have a chance of winning. I am going to put my hair in pink sponge rollers, turn my old eye glasses into those cat eye kind from long ago, make myself hugely pregnant with a pillow, and wear pajamas, a house coat and fuzzy slippers. I love give aways… on Friday or any other day! Unfortunately, I doubt that I will be doing anything for myself this weekend. As if my week wasn’t busy enough - the weekend will be even more crazy. The kids have games and swim meets, and to top it off, we will be attending a wedding.

Well I am not that into giveaways - but a Friday seems to be a great fit.
My friend is visiting for the weekend and we have the 4 kids while the men are playing. There is a big Halloween party tomorrow night for kids and adults which is really fun! I also have my neices bday party on Sunday! So this weekend should be great!

As for me and what I’m doing for ma’self? Well, the kids are on Fall break so there’s not a whole lot I can do.
I do have to tell you Char… I took the advice of you and Wendy and got me a really awesome handbag. I am now the happy owner of a Coach AND a Prada. LOVE them!
Once I got the bug, I didn’t stop - I got a pair of UGG boots. I’ll be doing a review on those soon enough. But you were SO right! Just an amazing handbag can make you feel like a million! I tested that theory and went to the mall with the kiddos yesterday.
It worked!
Easton - I heard a rumor you were trying to win great gifts for your wife! What about the rest of us?!?! We have wives too ya know! Sneaky, sneaky. *grin*

Good morning- I’m pooped! Speaking of pooped- I must clean stalls in a moment! But I wanted to sit, drink coffee and read the comments- how very nice! Last night I had a “Haunted Halloween Bunco” party at my cottage-lots of fun, but lots of prep. AND I got to sleep in til 7:30! When you have animals, that is sometimes a dream in itself.

I think the give-away is a wonderful idea, and this gift is just great. I try to indulge myself every other saturday with a spa pedicure. The foot and leg massage makes me feels great for 3-4 days. I feel great all weekend and don’t seem to have the Monday morning blahs either.

I love all the support for Breast Cancer awareness. My mom died at 38 when I was 16. I hope to be around a lot longer for my kids.
We’re retired, so weekends aren’t much different than weekdays for us.
But restoring an old home keeps us busy, since there’s lots to do.
I will be taking the time to give myself an manicure on Sunday.

I’m so glad I found this website, and I’ve been enjoying reading all the posts on this blog! Count me in on this beautiful basket. I don’t know what I’d is more meaningful, relaxing and enjoying the products, or remembering daily the significance of what the pink basket stands for.
This helps to bring awarness to all of us, to stay determined in fighting this disease.
