Casual Friday – St. Patrick’s Day Party

In years past St. Patrick’s Day has always been on March 17, but since March 17 is also part of the traditional Easter Holy Week this year,  some are electing to celebrate it today or tomorrow.  At Casual Friday, we are having our own St. Patrick’s Day party today!

Since my Grandparents live in Ireland, I have been there many times. It is one of my most favorite places in the world!! Let’s get in the mood with some of my favorite photos from our trip to Ireland in 2005 and 2006:

Kinsale Harbour

Kinsale Harbour (about 10 minutes from my Grandparent’s house)

Cobh

St. Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh, Ireland (where the Titanic sailed from)

Oysterhaven

A view from the cottages at Oysterhaven Center (my favorite place to stay in Ireland)

Fish n Chips

Good old Fish and Chips from a great Irish restaurant in Inchydony.

And some more items for our party!

Get your jig on at JibJab and send your friends a custom St. Patrick’s greeting starring you!

St. Patrick’s Day Feast recipes

St. Patrick’s Day Printables and Activities for the kids

Let’s get the party started!  All you have to bring to the party is your St. Patty’s Day links, recipes, stories, activities and such today!!

thanks for sharing the pictures, you link is coming up in a minute. As for us, we’ll be celebrating tomorrow, the kids are anxious to see what the Leprechaun leaves in their boxes. Do you do that? Leprechaun boxes that is? Tomorrow will be all about the carnival and parade, but today is Little As 1st birthday so that’s what we are doing all day.

Homemom3 – We are going to my parent’s house on Sunday for the best Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner ever. My Mom is Irish and a fabulous cook too. Happy Birthday to little A.

Hello! I hope you are great! I missed last week because of vacation and this week has been dedicated to getting back to work.

Cpt. Observant (husband) and I were discusing St. Patty’s Day just last night. Neither of us are Irish and this day has never been a thing for us. So we aren’t doing anything. But it looks like fun!!

Thanks, we will be doing a tiny family party tonight, hubby even got the blowers and party hats. It’ll be his first taste of cake so I can’t wait.

Dinner sounds good. Can I come over? My hubby hates both so it’ll be pasta here. :(

Oh Char – you made my mouth water with that glorious looking fish and chips! If ony I could eat it – but unfortunately my life is gluten free. But I remeber what they taste like which is torture. My Mum used to buy Fish and Chip every Friday and walking home we would get to eat the chips straight from the paper.
