Casual Friday - What is Your Dream Job?

Casual FridayHappy Friday everyone! I’ve got a busy one ahead of me, but thought we could talk about Dream Jobs today. Afterall, we all must have one - TLC network seems to think so based on their new reality series, The Secret Life of a Soccer Mom.

So, if you could be whisked away (and know everything on the homefront was taken care of) to pursue a dream job for a week, a month, or forever, what would that dream job be?

Working from home is definitely a dream job for me, but there are days where I wish for something else - and then I remind myself, that there is plenty of time for that once the kids are grown. If I had to pick a dream job, it would be an elite level gymnastics judge. I do plan on pursuing that one more once the kids are older and it really is an attainable dream - that I can continue to do side by side with the work I already do from home.

Grab a cup of coffee (or tea if you please) and join the conversation. Let us know what your dream job is/would be. Tell us about your week. Have any good plans for the weekend? Everyone is welcome!

Morning! My dream job has changed sinve I became a mom, at one time I wanted to be a prosecuting attorney. Now, I want to be a PR person. I love the interaction between companies and talking all about them.

Hi! I think as a blogger you are somewhat of a PR person. It is interesting how our goals change as we get older. Any plans for the weekend?

No, just bumming it this weekend. It’s currently flurrying (sp) outside right now so not sure what the weekend will hold. But I’ll at least rent a movie on the tv. Just had the cousins out so the kids are going to have a relaxing weekend.

My dream job - Ice cream taste tester :) Or coffee - or tea - or beer :)

How’s everyone doing? Sorry I didn’t get over here earlier — been busy on the phone and playing catch up from the ice storm only to buckle down in preparation for the snow storm that’s moving in Oy! I So want spring.

I had to start going to the tanning salon earlier in the week because my seasonal depression hit hard! It helps a little but nothing can replace the real deal.

I’ve never tried a tanning salon Gayla. How are they?

Gayla - I am blaming my lack of motivation today on the gray skies. We had some really beautiful days this week but today is just gloomy and rainy.

Looking forward to a fun weekend though. Well, fun for me.

I’m with Gayla, just recovering from the ice storm (and 2 days without power), and flooding earlier in the week, now we’re being hit with a “blizzard” this weekend. C’mon spring already! I’ve had enough Ohio winter for this year.

This weekend I’m staying in, keeping warm, and catching up.

I think I’m doing my dream job, I love blogging and I’d love to do even more of it. My other dream job would be to teach, I’m a substitute teacher now, but I’ve been working slowly on my masters in education. I love working with the little ones, and children with special needs:)

Blogging and teaching seem to work well together. I get to share what I know with others on my blogs, and learn more along the way.

Have a great weekend!

I think my dream job would probably be “novelist.” If I didn’t have to worry about actually earning money on a daily basis, it would be really cool to just write stories. Of course, I would also be wealthy enough to hire someone else to write the proposals and shop the books around to publishers so I didn’t have to!
