Happy Friday everyone! Today is the first day of Spring Break for my kids and they are already enjoying some well deserved down time.
Have you already had Spring Break or is it coming up? Or are your kids too young for school anyhow? Are you going anywhere exciting or do you have any fun plans for spring?
Our next few days are planned but still have plenty of room for relaxation. This afternoon I have to go to a funeral – sooo sad. One of my daughter’s teammates (who is 9) lost her Dad this week. He passed away at the very young age of 45 and we are all still in shock.
Tomorrow is the end of season party for the ice hockey team. The whole family gets to skate and there will be a pot luck dinner so we know everyone will find something they like.
Sunday we will go to my Brother’s house for Easter dinner and a big egg hunt for the kids. For the past 10 years we have done this at my parent’s house but they are out of town this year. The good news is, the hiding spots will all be new and it will be more challenging for them.
Next week we will play it by ear. We still have our regular sports practices, but I think we are going to take a day and go to Busch Gardens or Hershey Park with the kids.
If you need some last minute Easter inspiration, I have posted at list of Easter basket filler ideas at Weary Parent and Printables4Kids has tons of great Easter printables.
What are your plans for this holiday weekend (and spring break)? How was your week? Join the conversation – I’ll be in and out all day.

In years past St. Patrick’s Day has always been on March 17, but since March 17 is also part of the traditional Easter Holy Week this year, some are electing to celebrate it today or tomorrow. At Casual Friday, we are having our own St. Patrick’s Day party today!
Since my Grandparents live in Ireland, I have been there many times. It is one of my most favorite places in the world!! Let’s get in the mood with some of my favorite photos from our trip to Ireland in 2005 and 2006:

Kinsale Harbour (about 10 minutes from my Grandparent’s house)

St. Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh, Ireland (where the Titanic sailed from)

A view from the cottages at Oysterhaven Center (my favorite place to stay in Ireland)

Good old Fish and Chips from a great Irish restaurant in Inchydony.
And some more items for our party!
Get your jig on at JibJab and send your friends a custom St. Patrick’s greeting starring you!
St. Patrick’s Day Feast recipes
St. Patrick’s Day Printables and Activities for the kids
Let’s get the party started! All you have to bring to the party is your St. Patty’s Day links, recipes, stories, activities and such today!!

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve got a busy one ahead of me, but thought we could talk about Dream Jobs today. Afterall, we all must have one – TLC network seems to think so based on their new reality series, The Secret Life of a Soccer Mom.
So, if you could be whisked away (and know everything on the homefront was taken care of) to pursue a dream job for a week, a month, or forever, what would that dream job be?
Working from home is definitely a dream job for me, but there are days where I wish for something else – and then I remind myself, that there is plenty of time for that once the kids are grown. If I had to pick a dream job, it would be an elite level gymnastics judge. I do plan on pursuing that one more once the kids are older and it really is an attainable dream – that I can continue to do side by side with the work I already do from home.
Grab a cup of coffee (or tea if you please) and join the conversation. Let us know what your dream job is/would be. Tell us about your week. Have any good plans for the weekend? Everyone is welcome!

Happy Leap Day Friday! Wow! Today only comes once every four years, so I am officially deeming today as a bonus day.
Let’s just say, that your fairy godmother granted you a totally free day today – no work, no family commitments, no appointments and no limits. What would you do? Oh, and money is no object. But you have to back by midnight…
How would you spend your day?
PS – if you need some Leap Year activities for the kids while you have your imaginary dream day, check out the Leap Year coloring page and more at Printables4Kids.com.

Happy Friday! Our kids are getting their first “snow” day of the year and it isn’t even snowing! It should really be called an “ice” day, because that is what we are getting.
I know for many of you the snow days have been too plentiful, too frequent and you are just ready for some spring weather. Me, I would just love one big, white, fluffy snow storm this year – enough to snow us in for 2 days and then winter is free to leave.
How has your winter been? Lots of snow days or just a few? Do you have cabin fever yet? And anything else you have to say about the weather. Of course, feel free to talk about anything really – after all this is Casual Friday. How about the Oscar’s this weekend? I haven’t even heard of half the movies! And the political debates – is it November yet?
Also, be sure to stop back in over the weekend because I will be posting a few new giveaways.
Thanks to HomeMom3, Gayla, Brian, Randa, Chris, Katelyn, Lisa-Marie, Pickel, LA Blogger Girl, and Rose for talking chocolate with us last week.
Join the conversation! Everyone is welcome.
