So I get to work from home in my slippers, that doesn’t mean my office doesn’t want to be chic!! Every year my family asks what I want for the holidays and every year they seem a bit astonished that I want stuff for my home office - after all, it is where I spend so much of my time!!
Here some items I have on my list this year:
See Jane Work - Okay Santa - anything from See Jane Work will be just fine with me. How about some yummy Pepper Pot file folders, desktop files, or an Internet Notes black book?
TheGreenOffice.com - I love the tree-free stationery - the Harvest Collection is so nice.
My laptop needs some spunk!! I would love a Pacific Design Kailo Chic Laptop Sleeve or a cool laptop skin (I could design my own) from Schtickers.
I am determined to get even more organized in the new year so a new Brother PT-1880 Advanced Deluxe Labeler for Home & Office would be very welcome.
How about some new essentials like the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop (keyboard and mouse) or an ergonomic 3M Gel Wrist Support.
We don’t live very close to a Starbucks or coffee shop and I love to start my day with a perfect cup of coffee. A few years ago, my husband gave me the Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System and it makes the BEST coffee ever. More of the Newman’s Own Organics Extra Bold Special Blend, K-Cups would always be welcome, too.
Do you work from home? What is on your wish list?

Oh! I love that laptop sleeve. I’m also a WAHM, and I believe I may just be the last person on the face of the earth without an iPod…so I would love one of those. We live in a tiny place, and since I work at home, it would be nice if I could listen to my music without disturbing anyone during naptimes

Sandy - Isn’t the laptop sleeve cool? I got my iPod this summer for my birthday and I love it - music is such a motivator.

I think I’d like a better chair … boring, but very practical. Of course, what I’d really like is an adjustable sit-stand desk, with a ball chair for sitting. Dreams!
Definitely, some kind of MP3 player is a great idea. I don’t use it so much during naptime, but to block out the screaming 2 year old, or to escape when there is other noise I need to block out, like the television or other normal household activities. My MP3 player literally saves my sanity sometimes.
And on a completely unrelated note: The FedEx guy just brought my copy of WordPress for Dummies. Thank you again. I’m going to make it a weekend project to read it, although I’m not sure I’ll be able to wait that long before peeking!

There is a bright orange (or pink) leather portfolio that I would love! Too bad they’re out of stock. The black paisley sleeve is great too! Just what I need for the Christmas present I asked for. Is it presumptuous (sp?) to buy the case first?

Lucy - a good chair is a definite!!
Randa - I use my MP3 player when I am working out - it lets the kids know that I am off duty and to go ask their dad for anything they need.
Lornadoone - so glad you got your book - can’t wait to hear how you like it.
Jeri - buy the laptop cover - you know that laptop is coming your way soon
