Normally I look forward to Thursdays. Normally we don’t have any afterschool activities on Thursdays and I have a lot of time in my office. Not today.
I found out last night that we have out of town guests arriving late this afternoon - right about the time the kids get home from school. And we have Middle School orientation tonight, too. Yikes!
Instead of continuing my quest to finish up all my work projects and clean out my inbox by Friday afternoon, I now have to tackle this house and come up with a dinner option for 8 people.
Has anyone seen my magic wand? I could really use it today!!! How about a quick dinner option for 8? Ideas?Â

Oh gosh! I wish I knew where it was!!! As for dinner ~ Spaghetti, a big Lasagna, Tacos with all the fixin’s and a big pot of pinto beans … Can ya grill yet where you live? If so, fire up that baby! Throw a bunch of chicken or burgers on there. Toss together some pasta salad, a big cucumber/tomato salad, boil a bunch of corn on the cob ….

Thanks Carrie - I’m really leaning towards ordering in pizza at this point - I just don’t have the Martha bug today.

Spaghetti is a good idea. Pizza is even better…do they deliver pizza out to the boondocks where you live?

Randa - well, we have one place that will deliver - that’s it, just one. No Chinese food delivery or anything else fun.

And as far as cleaning? I find if my house isn’t quite THAT clean, guest come less often *grins*
No, seriously, they are coming to see YOU and not your house!
As for the food, well, I’m all about the pizza. Everyone loves pizza.

Gayla - no White Castle out here - I haven’t seen one since we lived in OH. Well, it is as good as it is going to get now and I am definitely ordering pizza.
