My Christmas Strategy Revealed

I am making a vow to myself that I will not let Christmas sneak up on me this year and send me into a frenzy of hurried, last minute events.  I am taking baby steps this year. I put my wreath on the door the day after Thanksgiving, bought scented pinecones yesterday for the hearth, dusted off the big, ornamental train for the hearth today, and I plan to keep this up for the rest of the week when I plan on putting up the tree Friday afternoon.

The same goes for Christmas shopping. I have made my lists and am off to a good start just by picking up a few things here and there, taking advantage of special offers and coupons as they come my way, and eBay.

Next I need to plan my food menus for Christmas Day. I am hosting it this year and rather than go with a huge sit down deal, I will do my favorite appetizers and desserts.  My goal is to get the ingredients purchased and start making what I can ahead of time to avoid that last minute rush.

So, with best intentions and a good plan, I hope to make this Christmas season a little less stressful than the last.

Okay you did it, you made me think about the holidays. I’ll probably be posting all day now. :) I’ve got to get the ball rolling on this christmas stuff. Last year I ended up having hubby shop the night before. Ekkkk. Never again, however not many people are out in the stores that night out here.

Eliza - sorry if I stressed you out. The last minute stuff is making me crazy and I am trying to change my ways.

I am proud of myself - I got my business Christmas cards printed out yesterday, now I need to get the envelopes and get them in the mail.
