So, I just got back from the hair dresser. The hair was getting a little wild and needed to be reined in. Like all good hairdressers, mine immediately asked if I wanted to get color done today as well, you know, to cover up the gray hairs.
I told her that I would like to just keep my silver highlights instead!
I have decided to make peace with the fact that I am getting older, my hair is starting to get gray and coloring it with chemicals (that I react to every time) is no longer the solution.
Who else has silver highlights? Show of hands?

My husband has always been so proud of his hair and I haven’t got the heart to tell him him thinning horribly on top. It’s really sad but he doesn’t need to hear it from me

Me! And it looks great. All good drummers have grey hair: Charlie Watts/Rolling Stones, Stewart Copeland/The Police (go and get tickets!!), Max Weinberg/E Street Band, the drummer from THE(LOST)FRIEND

It’s so funny that you wrote about this today Char!! I used to get my hair done a medium blonde. The last time I added color to my hair I think I picked up some sort of light brown to try and get it back to it’s original color so that I could let my silver highlights come out. So yeah — I’m let it all hang out! The highlights that is.. lol

Hi Char… I believe I’ll have the silver highlights if I stop coloring! BTW, you are tagged…

Oh dear lord are we all on the same page or WHAT?
I just colored my hair Tuesday. And there’s NO hope for the big old white Lillian Munster streak I have going from the mid front of my forehead to all down the left side. It’s just as sparkling as a brand new silver dollar.
You know, you made my day. I don’t feel NEAR as bad now LOL
