Thankfully I Work From Home

November is one of those months where many people reflect on things they are thankful for. Well, today is a day where I am truly thankful that I work from home as my own boss! I relate my work day today to a piece of swiss cheese – full of holes! Check out this schedule below and you’ll understand what I mean!

  • 6:30 – get up, coffee, work on time sensitive project for client
  • 7:30 – get kids ready for school and self ready for day
  • 8:30 – check email and follow up on a few things
  • 9:00 – be at school for 3rd grade Accelerated Reader awards ceremony (yeah M – you read the most books in your class)
  • 9:45 – bank, gas, then return to office
  • 10:15 – return emails and follow up with calls
  • 10:45 – back to school for 5th grade awards ceremony (yeah N – lots of awards for you – top AR, honor roll, etc)
  • 11:30 – back to office to write this post and on to other work
  • 12:45 – take youngest to preschool
  • 1:30 – back to office – hope I can get something done
  • 3:15 – back to school to pick up big kids, then to preschool to get the youngest, then off to afterschool activities

I honestly don’t know how I would do it without the flexibility working from home provides. It is crazy some days, but the look on my daughter’s face when she received her award and saw me in the crowd, makes it all worthwhile, and that is something to truly be thankful for.

What are you thankful for this season? This post is part of a Blog Carnival hosted by Holiday Ideas. Come share your holiday ideas, too.
