Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to school they go! I just couldn’t resist. We had a wonderful holiday, recharged our inner batteries, and enjoyed lots of quality time with each other. But like all good things, it’s not meant to last. The kids were getting bored - I could tell that even they crave the structure and predictability of their normal lives.
So off they went on the bus today (well, I have to take one to preschool this afternoon), ready to get back to their school work, friends and activities.
Did I mention that this mommy is ready for life to return to its’ normal schedule, too? All I have left to do is take down the tree and the holidays will officially be over.

I’ve still got five more days before kids are back in school. Love them but they get so bored some times.

Michelle - thanks for stopping in! I had one home sick beginning December 18 so I have been feeling slightly cooped up. It felt like the worlds longest Christmas break yet.
I don’t mind having them home but it would be easier if their friends were in walking distance. I get the “can I have a playdate” chorus going and it is so hard to keep everyone happy.

We took down the “main” tree on January 1. One is left upstairs right in front of my daughter´s bedroom. No way to get rid of it so far. She´s the boss!
And don´t ask why we had two…

We had two this year too - one in the living room and one in the kids play room. They decorated theirs 100% by themselves and it looks pretty good.

Yes, I’ve got five more days of break too. It’s been good and we’ve all been well but I’m inexplicably restless.

V - I am dropping Miss N off at preschool and 1 and going to get lunch with two other moms in Central Park - I am beyond restless.
